Congratulations to our very own Scott Baker!

We have just been advised that the Rebel Rising squad will take on the Australian Barbarians as a curtain raiser to the Waratahs match this Friday.

What is particularly pleasing is to see Scott Baker holding up the front row! Scott started as a Boronndara Rugby Junior and has now risen to the "next in line" status for the Melbourne Rebels.

So for all you juniors out there that are already dreaming of Rebel glory for yourselves down the track, look no further than Scott for inspiration.

The Rebel Rising (Rebels A squad) will take on the Australian Barbarians as a curtain raiser to Friday Night's epic battle.

This squad gives away a few clues as to what will be the 22 to take on the Waratahs.

The Squad is a mixture of fringe Rebels players as well as Academy players, many of whom are products of the Victorian Rugby System
