Super Rugby Week

Designed to maximize the exposure and interest in Super Rugby by aligning club recruitment initiatives to schools by participating in an Ed Rugby Walla Week style format called Super Rugby Week.

Schools must play a minimum of 40 minutes of rugby during Super Rugby Week. The recommended game style is Walla Rugby (U7). If tackle games are played then the teacher responsible mist be Smart Rugby compliant.


Super Rugby Week will be held the week leading into the first Rebels game. (Monday 14 February until Friday 18 February 2011)


The VRU will encourage clubs to engage local school’s who are participating in Super Rugby week.


Super Rugby Week provides a core purpose of club recruitment through the surrounding schools in Melbourne.


The Ed Rugby Walla Week encourages the kids to try Walla Rugby throughout their school and have a chance to join a club.


The program is designed for both Boys and Girls.
